This is
An essential role in the development of new clients, building effective and long-lasting relationships.
 

We need you to
Capture the attention of key decision-makers within targeted brands, initiating the conversation, introducing them to Pearlfisher and uncovering a synergy between our offers and their brand challenges. Dependant on your level of experience, you will have the opportunity to own the full development cycle, from origination to close.

You will definitely need to be

The bare minimum we need from you is
Over three years of agency experience working in either a business development or client management role.
 

And the technical skills you will need to have are
MacOS
GoogleDrive applications
MSOffice


Ideally, you will have experience of/exposure to
AdobeCS
 

The role in detail

i. Outbound strategy
Working with the Head of Business Development to highlight and build a proactive targeting (seek) plan in line with the annual new business plan and our agreed target sectors.

Conducting brand, category and market research to support and inform your seek plan.

Building a pipeline of seek opportunities; approaching senior level decision makers from cold, setting up initial meetings and attending them in conjunction with the Head of Business Development and/or other Senior Management team members.

ii. Proposals, presentations & tenders
Writing detailed proposals, consulting with the relevant team members to ensure the best approach.

Creating tailored credentials presentations, showcasing Pearlfisher’s expertise and relevant case histories.

Completing and submitting tender documents.

iii. Inbound strategy
Supporting the inbound (attract) new business process by:

Fielding inbound new business enquiries, engaging with the client and building a good rapport from the start.

Qualifying the opportunity and proposing the best response, leveraging Pearlfisher’s 3 studios and global locations.

iv. Communication and administration
Liaising with the Marketing & Communications team to ensure alignment between new business targeting and annual marketing objectives.

Completing and submitting weekly status reports to the Partners and management teams in London and New York.

Updating and maintain the new business database (segmentation, approaches, timings, actionable outcomes).

v. Other
Attending and representing Pearlfisher at industry networking events.

 

Assessment of success
Success will be viewed and measured in two ways:

i. Commercial Effectiveness: number of opportunities generated on a monthly basis
ii. Cultural Value: impact, value and contribution to our working culture.

 

Reporting structure
You will report directly to Pearlfisher London’s Head of Business Development. The role will also involve close collaboration with the Pearlfisher London Leadership Team.
