The bare minimum we need from you is
Three years in a client servicing role within a branding/design agency environment, preferably with some experience at Senior Client (Account) Manager level.
And the technical skills we’d appreciate are
Ideally, you will have experience of/exposure to
Large rollouts for global branding, design and packaging projects from start to finish
The role in detail
Account Manage a selection of core clients and creative projects, ensuring efficient project administration and seeing projects through to completion on budget and on time.
Successfully manage and inspire internal and client teams and projects to produce creatively excellent solutions.
Start to influence your core clients from a strategic perspective and own smaller clients without Client Director or Client Development Director directly responsible.
Develop strong client relationships with your allocated clients.
Take ownership of project budgets; preparing proposals, cost estimates and creative briefs (with support) in advance of project work starting.
Report on project status through contact reports/activity reports to internal/external teams.
Anticipate issues and challenges before they become critical, actively seeking to understand issues and propose solutions.
Effectively resource for your projects on a weekly basis with the Creative Resources Manager.
Contribute to business development, working as part of a team to bring in significant business via your ongoing client relationships, and helping to drive farming strategies alongside Client Director/Head of Client Management:
Write farming activity plan with Client Director/Head of Client Management
Report on client business to feed into developing activity
Help to identify new opportunities
Take responsibility for general well-being of Client Managers, Client Execs and interns and highlight any key issues to Head of Client Management.
Offer day-to-day advice on general account management issues.
Help to mentor and shape more junior team members, providing positive and constructive feedback, being approachable, garnering trust and openness with team.
Assist with recruitment of more junior team members (eg interviewing interns/Client Managers) where appropriate.
Ensure revenue forecast for your client business is accurate on a weekly basis and highlight any issues at the earliest opportunity (prior to the weekly meeting).
Write cost estimates and proposals with the support of the Client Director/Head of Client Management
Budget effectively in conjunction with Client Director.
Monitor project effectiveness in conjunction with Client Director and Creative Resources Manager.
Ensure all estimates are approved and all invoices are raised, checked and sent to client on time.
Monitor project spend – resources, expenses and bought-ins – highlight potential overspend to Client Director/Head of Client Management.
Be aware of margin on fees and costs.
